Worry Mind

Oh worry mind

You try so hard

to cover all those could be

catastrophes

You do so well

painting the many forms for me

to see and ponder

how the darkness

may land

so I may understand

Won't be caught by surprise

Oh no

the rug slipped

from beneath my feet

You work over time

for this not to be

Always

my well being in 'mind'

Thank you

I am grateful

Though 

I hate to break it to you

Somtimes

You send more spears 

than shields

These shadows you show

The whispers of warning

They tend to set off a fright,

overwhelm and despair

So many bullets to duck

flying in the air

I must remind myself 

many are made of sand

That will fall swiftly 

through my hand

Sit back dear friend

and let me steer the wheel awhile

You must be weary

Truly

Trouble will land 

when and how

it will

Best be still

so it may pass

as snakes in the grass
