The spark of excitment 'What an adventure laid out -

tools offered to help

clear gnarly paths

Trudge uneven grounds,

brambles abound

berries make their scratches

worth the while.

Ah to allow the light to slip by

fast through the gates of fright

raised just for a split second,

watch as it dashes -

past the fence of fear

Giggle at the absurd, how is it

pains and pleasures live so close together?

How dissying to flip and spin from on to another 

when neither existing without the other! -

A dance to catch by chance

opportunity to let demons fly

and say a sweet goodbye

an opening of eyes and heart

to see truly now weary feet be

from working to keep them far apart

fighting such fates laid out on plates 

for us to taste the flavors

rich and vile 

all the while

guardians above are holding

hopes for us to stay inside

a child
